Reincarnation: Release fears keeping you from living a creative life.
"TO LIVE A CREATIVE LIFE, WE MUST LOSE OUR FEAR OF BEING WRONG." ~Joseph Chilton Pearce
I love this quote; I saw it on Pinterest and had to add it to my November board on reincarnation! I had no idea who Joseph Chilton Pearce was, but I totally dug what he was saying. By the way, I checked out his Wikipedia and realized why I loved this quote so much. There are several books authored by Mr. Pearce that have now been added to my "must read before I die" list.
There's a lot going on this month for me personally and I couldn't be more excited about all of it. Sometimes I feel like I'm running out of time--not in a fatalistic way, just like so many amazing ideas are floating into my mind; I'm scared I may not have time enough to see them all to fruition. And, honestly, I hate the fear most of all.
This month's theme is reincarnation. This controversial belief is defined in its simplest terms as the rebirth of a soul in another body. I have mixed feelings about the idea of my soul being reborn in another body, but I also hold out hope that reincarnation is real and will happen for me. That way, I can lose the fear of not finishing everything my soul desires to accomplish in this life because I know I'll come back in another one to continue my work.
It makes me wonder if all creatives have similar fears, thoughts, and hopes. Is it the hope of reincarnation that allows creative people to live without the fear of being wrong; understanding that death is not really the end... just a moment to recharge their soul's batteries for the next leg of the journey.
I'm going to go with it. Let's say reincarnation is real and we are all just living over and over again. Same soul, different body. Different time and place. Same soul's desires. If you knew your soul would always return to finish the work it started, would you relinquish your fear of being wrong or misunderstood? Would it free you to pursue the life you really want to live as opposed to trying and failing miserably to fit into one that's either too tight or too loose for you? If you were 100% positive your soul would always come back to complete your life's work; what would you start doing differently? Today? I mean, RIGHT-THE-HELL-NOW?!
Whew! Once I got started listing all the things I would stop being afraid of being, I realized there's a lot of shit holding me back. Now I'm left with the proverbial million-dollar question: what the hell do I do with this list?
I don't know the answer to that question, but I feel like the list is a good place for me to start removing what's been keeping me from living my most enchanting and creative life.
What about you, what's been keeping you from living your most enchanting and creative life? I'd love to hear from you, maybe make your own word cloud and post it in the comments.
Remember, life is a journey and when the Universe sprinkles Her wisdom along your path, show gratitude. Every moment is enchanted, stay present. Until next time; be brave, be beautiful, and be enchanting.Ella
